I just installed the F7 DVD on the 8600 laptop without problems Pat: I'm having the same problem with a couple of older Dells but with the LiveCD or the boot.iso from the DVD, with both F7 and F8T1. I filed a bug on this for the LiveCD. The bug is #251724.
