touch /autorelabel didn't fix the issue.
2007/8/8, cornel panceac <
cpanceac@xxxxxxxxx>:
ok, choosing to install grub avoids that booting bug.2007/8/8, cornel panceac <cpanceac@xxxxxxxxx >:reboot in rescue mode, chroot:
# rpm -ivh *rpm
rpmdb: program version 4.3 doesn't match environment.
etc
where: *rpm is the newer kernel.
btw, at grub (from f8t1-dvd), choosing to boot from local drive actually waits a key to reboot.
goin' to reinstall but choose to install grub.2007/8/8, cornel panceac < cpanceac@xxxxxxxxx>:hmm, may be related with the fact that i choose _not_ to install grub?2007/8/8, cornel panceac < cpanceac@xxxxxxxxx>:i've tried f8t1-kde-live-i686. it booted ok. then i've noticed i have no network. service-network-restart fixed the issue. (probably NetworkManager confused by two nic's.)
then i've installed to hard drive. install was clear and quick. the "unable to inform kernel about modifications to sda5" error still showed-up. and after 'ignore' something strange happened: the monitor complained it has no signal and off it goes :) i thought the computer halted, but playing with ctrl-alt-f* i've found out the system was still alive and installing. anyway, after reboot, i was hitted by this bug:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=248926
only this time i didn't move anything :)
next thing i'll try is reinstall the kernel from rescue mode.
