-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Test Update Notification FEDORA-2007-0584 2007-06-20 13:04:02.798588 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name : tcptraceroute Product : Fedora 7 Version : 1.5 Release : 0.2.beta7.fc7 Summary : A traceroute implementation using TCP packets Description : TCPtraceroute is a traceroute implementation using TCP packets. The problem is that with the widespread use of firewalls on the modern Internet, many of the packets that the conventional traceroute(8) sends out (ICMP echo or UDP) end up being filtered, making it impossible to completely trace the path to the destination. By sending out TCP SYN packets instead of UDP or ICMP ECHO packets, tcptraceroute is able to bypass the most common firewall filters. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Updated packages: cab3e6c83275f141820b3e63c9b7a090bd86f4ce tcptraceroute-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.ppc64.rpm 19d1eb097693f02a70e16492707ae21c76299449 tcptraceroute-debuginfo-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.ppc64.rpm 7f1ccf65157e1b06847c7305a15916bbd95c42cd tcptraceroute-debuginfo-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.i386.rpm ac7b0702b76314d53f5233c95533d30225241f3a tcptraceroute-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.i386.rpm 0df813b1e8331bc0061b230c0ff0baec8a3c9297 tcptraceroute-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.x86_64.rpm 8fd02b0da2bca451ba5323d76f4475113ecdf1d3 tcptraceroute-debuginfo-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.x86_64.rpm bad644da48c48b6274c02cd535a4d779a7865345 tcptraceroute-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.ppc.rpm 76c0097cd83728df107c0cb22361c2289fd47252 tcptraceroute-debuginfo-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.ppc.rpm bf12d261a8563147eefc1900b3ebe8081e76b266 tcptraceroute-1.5-0.2.beta7.fc7.src.rpm This update can be installed with the 'yum' update program.
