This morning I installed empathy for Fedora 7 from updates. Yum picked up on these dependencies: ---> Package empathy.i386 0:0.7-1.fc7 set to be updated --> Processing Dependency: libtelepathy.so.2 for package: empathy --> Processing Dependency: libmissioncontrol.so.0 for package: empathy --> Processing Dependency: libmissioncontrol-config.so.0 for package: empathy --> Processing Dependency: telepathy-filesystem for package: empathy --> Restarting Dependency Resolution with new changes. --> Running transaction check ---> Package libtelepathy.i386 0:0.0.53-1.fc7 set to be updated ---> Package telepathy-filesystem.noarch 0:0.0.1-1.fc6 set to be updated Dependencies Resolved ============================================================================= Package Arch Version Repository Size ============================================================================= Installing: empathy i386 0.7-1.fc7 updates 545 k Installing for dependencies: libtelepathy i386 0.0.53-1.fc7 fedora 31 k telepathy-filesystem noarch 0.0.1-1.fc6 fedora 2.3 k Transaction Summary ============================================================================= Install 3 Package(s) Update 0 Package(s) Remove 0 Package(s) It seems yum did not install anything to satisfy the libmissioncontrol.so.0 dependency. When I rum empathy, it complains about not being able to load that library. I couldn't figure where to open a bug in bugzilla.
