Sure, if it works for you, there's no reason to add anything on top of
it. But Oliver isn't the only one having troubles with the patched in
iwlwifi. ipw3945 is still the rock solid solution currently and even
externally build mac/iwl bits can be considered more stable (this is
no offense to the good work linville and friends are doing to get it
patched into Fedora's kernel, it's just that the tarballs get better
deployment and testing upstream)
