I think the situation is worse than that: AFAICT the driver was merged
in the -mm branch of the kernel, but it did not make the last "jump"
into the mainline kernel due to legal problems in the implementation
so, If the situation will not be sorted out, chances are the patch
will be dropped.
Please be sure to keep Texs Instruments informed about how
disappointed you are about their non existent open source support
