I have it working with one machine running FC7 test3 but it was an upgrade from FC6. I just did a brand new install of FC7 test3 and tried to install mplayer. It died with dependency issues with libdts.so.0,libfaad.so.0, and libxvidcore.so.4 (see below).
# rpm -Uvh mplayer-1.0-0.72.20070325svn.lvn7.i386.rpm
