this are the last lines from my serial console:

Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to
kernel.
checked initrd's from this and previous kernel. can't find any diff.'s.
other question:
thinking of buying a new motherboard.
does someone have experiences with serial console via usb and related
adapters ?
