Fedora Test Update Notification
FEDORA-2007-006
2007-01-03
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Product : Fedora Core 6
Name : yum
Version : 3.0.2
Release : 1.fc6
Summary : RPM installer/updater
Description :
Yum is a utility that can check for and automatically download and
install updated RPM packages. Dependencies are obtained and downloaded
automatically prompting the user as necessary.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Update Information:

This update fixes a number of bugs in yum.

With this update I'm still finding that yum-updatesd sometimes blocks
manual invocations of yum.

There is a problem with yum 3.0.2, it take very long time to initialize updates, so yum-updated will take much longer to run and block other invocations of yum.
This is fixed upstream in yum 3.0.3, just released.
I'm sure there soon will be a new release for FC6.
