Hi, if I am testing a particular update say dvd+rw-tools, if the test
package is pushed into updates, are the rpm's identical ?

Or are they identical before they are signed for each repository
{updates, updates-testing} ?

Yes.

I ask to confirm whether or not when the final update is released, will
I get it through yum, or will it be the identical EVR and hence not need
installing ?

Yes. Thats right.

 {Although the --info of the package would say it is
-testing package.}

Yum info and list comamnds would actually say its installed. Only when a package is not installed does it show you the repository information.

If yum will get the update version, I guess that would mean a double
download ?

That shouldnt happen.
OK, thanks for clearing that up Rahul.
