I compiled sysstat version 7.0.2 from source and it now works:

> iostat -x
Linux 2.6.18-1.2798.fc6 (ac) 10/31/2006

avg-cpu: %user %nice %system %iowait %steal %idle
          14.61 0.00 2.91 9.52 0.00 72.97

Device: rrqm/s wrqm/s r/s w/s rsec/s wsec/s avgrq-sz avgqu-sz await svctm
%util
hda 16.45 25.81 24.01 10.90 298.15 294.76 16.98 3.49 99.94 3.14
10.95
hdd 1.87 0.02 0.17 0.02 13.61 0.13 72.66 0.01 29.36 16.43

How do I request this newer version for the build?

-Kenny
