Hi;
I upgraded from test to FC6 via DVD.
Worked fine.
Then I changed the devel repo to:
http://fedoraproject.org/mirrors/fedora-core-rawhide
and did a 'yum upgrade', also worked fine.
Now when I boot up it hangs with:
STOP SIGN
"The greeter application appears to be crashing.
Attempting to use a different one."
OK box
after a bunch of retries:
"The dsplay server has been shut down about 6 times in the last 90
seconds.
It is likely that something bad is going on.
Waiting for 2 minutes before trying again on display :0."
My video card is a radeon 5200se.
xorg.conf:
Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nv"
VendorName "Videocard vendor"
BoardName "nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5200]"
EndSection
thanks
Mick
A bug in gdm-2.17.0-1.fc7.
Upgrade to gdm-2.17.0-2.fc7 should fix it.
