Thanks for the catch on the reference to the extras location. I knew he was referring to updates since it is part of core. I'm too used to referring to Extras to get programs and didn't realize I referred to extras instead of updates.

yum update to pull in the new driver.
run system-config-display or X -configure after the updates are applied and we're off. Providing the fix quickly after the release should stifle some of the reports. For users that do not monitor the list, there probably will be tons of reports. (if printed to paper)
