Today's install attempt doesn't get very far at all! The X server starts, but the mini-wm fails attempting to resolve localhost:6001 socket. There is no /etc/hosts file containing even this basic definition. The exact error: _X11TransSocketINETConnect() can't get address for localhost:6001: Temporary failure in name resolution (mini-wm:434): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :1 The error appears using both static and DHCP configurations. In static configuration, the selected nameserver is *known* to be working correctly, so the error is not in the available DNS servers. The system just hangs forever (>20 minutes) with Xorg and mini-wm in Zombie status. Vt02 shell works okay. In fact it will ping localhost without problems, Xorg and mini-wm are MIA. --Wolfe
