Applying 2.617-1.2401 didn't improve the situation => in fact, I simply can't work with GNOME Windows always in the left corner, overlaying each other, desktop functions not replying, start of window manager after login takes MINUTES,..... I switched to kde/xfce,... and all is working fine. Best match (description) => "show desktop finction is not working since window manager is not running".
