Having it be instantaneous is actually pretty difficult.  The current
state is that it's supposed to be synced every half hour.  Looking into
it, it looks like that has broke and the sync has only been occurring
once a day recently.  I've just hopefully fixed that up so that it
should be much closer to instantaneous and will keep an eye on it over
the afternoon to make sure it sticks
