Yeah - it looks like the newer version of the initscript has this in the
headers:
# Thu Nov 17 2005 Gregory Boehnlein <damin@xxxxxxxx>
# - Updated Version to 1.3
# - Reversed behavior of LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1
# - Added detailed failure messages

So it looks like it will work - although I'm in the middle of rebuilding
it all to see if I can get it to work again - as part of my debugging was
to remove it all and start again :p
