Hmm, first you should be booting into run level 3 instead of modifying /etc/X11/prefdm to boot into the command line. At that point you can update your NVIDIA drivers and then run init 5 to start X. I have also been informed that there has been a recent bug in Rawhide which prevents D-Bus from starting.
