Last night I was able to catch this before the filesystem was hosed to
completely unbootable:

[root@imac ~]# EXT3-fs error (device hda4): ext3_add_entry: bad entry

Aborting journal on device hda4.
ext3_abort called.
EXT3-fs error (device hda4): ext3_journal_start_sb: Detected aborted journal
Remounting filesystem read-only
EXT3-fs error (device hda4) in ext3_rename: IO failure
__journal_remove_journal_head: freeing b_committed_data
__journal_remove_journal_head: freeing b_committed_data
__journal_remove_journal_head: freeing b_committed_data


The above is from Kernel 1871...

However 1808 and 1826 series both work as does the original Kernel as
installed by FC5T1...
