How do I switch my system back to x-screensaver. I prefer some of the
screensavers provided there more.
Gnome screensaver seems to have only seven screens.
I have the following screensavers installed:
xscreensaver-base-4.23-1
gnome-screensaver-debuginfo-2.13.5-4
xscreensaver-extras-4.23-1
gnome-screensaver-2.13.5-4
Also will gnome-power-manager work with xscreensaver ?
As root:
rpm -e gnome-screensaver gnome-screensaver-debuginfo
As user:
open terminal and run xscreensaver-demo
answer yes to load daemon
configure your choice of screensavers
The screensavers should now work.

PS - removing gnome-screensaver is a ritual performed after each recent
install. Some useful packages are deprecated (mozilla-mail, mc, gftp
....) and lesser packages get pulled into core. (gnome-screensaver,
crippled versions of audio/video software, ...)
