You fairly obviously havn't subscribed to or read the mailing list for
very long so i might suggest that you read the archives a little and
you'll see why the installer is being upgraded. You raise some very good
points about the instability of the package selection process and i
would argue that i had very similar troubles (with equal beating) under
the old system that glows fondly in your memory. Please file bug reports
against the components and help fix the problems you find. A FCtest
release does not equal a release candidate in the traditional sense
(something else you can catch up on in this list). Best of luck and
