Are you sure this isn't BIOS related?
I don't believe this is a bios related issue as the bios settings are
default except to boot first from the CD/DVD and they are the same bios
setting from which I have successfully booted and installed from both
the FC4 DVD and the FC5T1 boot.iso.

i had the same problem yesterday and would search in bugzilla today.
my noname notebook had no problems with fc1,2,3,4,5t1
but fc5t2 cd#1, boot.iso, rescue.iso and yesteradys rawhide boot.iso,
rescue.iso will not find the kernel.
if i put the cds in a other machine all is ok.
