As in completely removed?. Maybe pootypedia can be improved to collect
stats from the alternative then.
The number of things it returns is steadily decreasing, and it
will be removed entirely once the installer is weaned off of it
(probably not until FC6 at the earliest.)

What would be the best way to gather such system stats then thats more
future proof?. Its a good thing that hardware detection solutions are
being upstreamed more but we need a good way to get this stats in a
centralized fashion.
