Hi,

Using an x86_64 box here. Any time I run ./configure (or ./autogen.sh),
the script reports the build as x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu instead of the
more familiar x86-redhat-linux-gnu (as seen on 32 bit machines).

Anyone know the the cause of this and if a fix is on the way?

On my i686 boxes ./configure says:

   i686-pc-linux-gnu

I confirm that on my AMD X2 it says:
x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu

Perhaps its just too demeaning to call an X2 a "pc" ;-)
