I get PANIC errors when booting FC5test1 disc1 x86_64 on an AMD
Opteron. I get the 'boot:' prompt at the bottom of the welcome

Do you have more than 2G of memory?
If so, then I'm seeing the same thing in #174655, which DaveJ claims was
fixed in 1725, but still isn't fixed for me in 1739.
