My problem with gnucash was solved rebooting the workstation. I
downloaded several packages upgrades and that might be the cause. After
rebooting, everything was fine.

I installed the updates I managed to (the ones where I didn't get dependency problems), rebooted my workstation and the problem persists.
Any clues?
