The problem was that /sbin/ip changed: it used to accept commands like 'ip address'; and update to iproute changed this to only accept commands like 'ip addr'. see: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=168335 Version of NetworkManager packages you are running?
