Is there any reason why thunderbird is named "Mail/New Client" instead
of "Mozilla Thunderbird" in the UI window?
At a guess, it would be because you know what thunderbird is, and a
newbie knows they want a mail/news client. So it's a win either way.

I don't think this is on purpose as the icon for thunderbird is also
missing along with the name.
