Hi, Each morning, i have to reboot my server, as cronjobs seem to block the whole server. Load goes up to avg of 5.46, the server of course does no longer answer requests. I found the following in the logs: Jul 12 06:04:18 frodo kernel: oom-killer: gfp_mask=0xd2, order=0 Jul 12 06:04:19 frodo kernel: DMA free:624kB min:180kB low:224kB high:268kB active:116kB inactive:8kB present:16384kB pages_scanned:864 all_unreclaimable? ye s Jul 12 06:04:19 frodo kernel: lowmem_reserve[]: 0 111 111 Jul 12 06:04:24 frodo kernel: Normal free:1696kB min:1260kB low:1572kB high:1888kB active:840kB inactive:5396kB present:114624kB pages_scanned:0 all_unreclai mable? no Jul 12 06:04:25 frodo kernel: lowmem_reserve[]: 0 0 0 Jul 12 06:04:26 frodo kernel: HighMem free:0kB min:128kB low:160kB high:192kB active:0kB inactive:0kB present:0kB pages_scanned:0 all_unreclaimable? no Jul 12 06:04:30 frodo kernel: lowmem_reserve[]: 0 0 0 *--> Jul 12 06:04:31 frodo kernel: DMA: 0*4kB 0*8kB 1*16kB 1*32kB 1*64kB 0*128kB 0*256kB 1*512kB 0*1024kB 0*2048kB 0*4096kB = 624kB Jul 12 06:04:33 frodo kernel: Normal: 116*4kB 2*8kB 2*16kB 1*32kB 2*64kB 2*128kB 1*256kB 1*512kB 0*1024kB 0*2048kB 0*4096kB = 1696kB Jul 12 06:04:37 frodo kernel: HighMem: empty Jul 12 06:04:41 frodo kernel: Swap cache: add 869813, delete 869195, find 136478/307186, race 0+13 Jul 12 06:04:43 frodo kernel: Free swap = 212496kB Jul 12 06:04:47 frodo kernel: Total swap = 262136kB Jul 12 06:04:51 frodo kernel: Free swap: 212496kB Jul 12 06:04:52 frodo kernel: 32752 pages of RAM Jul 12 06:04:53 frodo kernel: 0 pages of HIGHMEM Jul 12 06:04:56 frodo kernel: 1326 reserved pages Jul 12 06:04:58 frodo kernel: 5143 pages shared Jul 12 06:05:00 frodo kernel: 618 pages swap cached Jul 12 06:05:01 frodo kernel: 0 pages dirty Jul 12 06:05:03 frodo kernel: 291 pages writeback Jul 12 06:05:04 frodo kernel: 1046 pages mapped Jul 12 06:05:06 frodo kernel: 27958 pages slab Jul 12 06:05:08 frodo kernel: 462 pages pagetables Jul 12 06:05:10 frodo kernel: Out of Memory: Killed process 1701 (named). I know, this is quite a lot of information. The strange thing is marked with *-->. Could this be a diskproblem or a prob of memory allocation? Thanks for your help.
