The ICH5R and ICH6R (in your i875) are supported by
http://iswraid.sourceforge.net/
on 2.4 Kernels (probably TrueImage uses one)

This support is not available in 2.6 Kernels. You have to use dmraid 
http://people.redhat.com/~heinzm/sw/dmraid/

to get it to work. It works quite well afaik but there are still
problems.
