Why not just use dovecot?
Because when I grepped the packages for pop3 and imap, dovecot did not
come up. :-)
My continued googling located a script (mboxtocyrus) that did the job. I
just needed to use the word mail rather than e-mail.
yum search imap

still prefer courier myself. Even if it's still in beta after all these
years.
