the test releases come pre-configured to pull updates from the
development repository.
The development repository does not always have signed packages, so
disabling gpg checking for the development tree is something to
consider doing.

openoffice.org issue could very well be a bug. You didn't tell us
which architecture you installed on so I can't get more specific than
that. Easiest thing to do is attempt to update to today's openoffice
packages and see if that fixes the problem.
