Must be something wrong with the module or something. I noticed the
same thing, and thought it was something I did wrong, due to my
integrated sound does work, SB Live! (using same module you mentioned)
doesn't in these last two kernels.
Sounds is working fine for the VIA 8235 with kernel 1233 8*)
