media check is broken

I had the same problem ... media check failed during installation.

I had previously verified the sha1sum on all of the images after the
downloads.

I ended up burning 4 different *-disc1.iso cds on two different systems
... media check fails on all of them.

Doing a
 sha1sum /dev/hdd

gives the same answer on all of them (but not the same as the sha1sum of
the .iso file ... not sure why)

Searching the mailing list archive I found a message that says that the
installation media check code is broken.
