Thank you.

It would help if this information were included in the yum
documentation, say in man yum, or the message about deprecation in
yum-arch, or -- better -- in both.

Two other data.

* createrepo installs nicely in a current FC1 installation.

* Since createrepo and yum-arch create their data in different
  directories, it is harmless to execute both.

I've added createrepo to my script that pulls in updates & will see
how things go.
