How about a file system that uses a CDRW (or DVD+/-RW) as a real time
file system, ie you can write to it like a floppy disk and you wouldn't
need to run burner software.

I've got clients that need to send me stuff from machines that are not
networked. Floppy disk drives are troublesome in an industrial
environment. Surprizingly, cdrom drives hold up well. It would be
really convenient to have a real time cdrw/dvdrw, even if it took 15
minutes to umount/eject the disk.
