Yum update error message

I am running a clean install of Fedora Core 3 RC5, and would like 
assistance on getting yum update to work.  My current error message is

Setting up Update Process
Setting up Repo:  base
Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base

(FC3RC5 is very slick, by the way.  I am impressed.)
