I have the RC3 images sitting in the target local directory, but they
don't appear to be getting updated, instead from the appearance of my
downloads directory after this has been running for about 10 minutes,
it apparently is going to download a fresh copy of everything, but
with a serial number appended to the end, and a . (dot) prefixed to
the newer filename. This doesn't strike me as the expected rsync
operation.

Can anyone explain why that is happening to this big & old dummy?
