I'm one of them (IBM T30).   I did have some troubles related to udev
on my desktop, because I initially tried upgrading from FC2 to FC3T3. 
I eventually sorted it out, but had problems with other conflicting
3rd party packages, so I opted for a clean install anyway.

FC3T3 has been good so far, when installed from scratch.  Upgrades
have been less than perfect, but not terrible.
