Well, that's not true.  It just means more work in the spec file
(one can't use the automatic stuff and has to do the stripping to files
by hand and take care of creating the debuginfo package for the files
where it can be used).
glibc does this by hand too, so it just means willing to add a few lines of
shell code into xorg spec file and time to write it/debug it.
