I had a problem booting with the latest systemd. It looks like the problem might be related to luks support. I have filed a bug report for it.

I ended up using a live image to downgrade systemd to fix things. Since / was mounted despite the problems mounting other encrypted file systems, it probably could have been recovered in the emergency mode if I hadn't made things a bit worse while testing things.
