Testing upgrades of a plain F33 Workstation install I run into issues
doing a "dnf update". I thought it may be a mirror issue, but I see
other people reporting the same[0][1]. I'll open a Bugzilla entry if
nobody can point me at one, but I was hoping somebody here might have
some insight first.
The test list is for not yet released versions of Fedora. The users
list would be the right place to start.
I would argue that since I was testing N-1 upgrades to Fedora 35, this
is at least a decent place to start, though it's debatable since it
falls down at the "first fully update" step.
You didn't mention anything about testing an upgrade to F35, it was all
about F33. Try "dnf clean all". You could also try skipping the F33
update and go straight to F35 and see what happens.
I don't do full updates before version upgrades. I just run:
dnf upgrade dnf* *systemd* *repos *release
That makes sure that at least most of the critical components are
up-to-date before running system-upgrade. I've never had an issue with
that.
