Hey Lukas,

Thank you for the reply!

On my welcome ticket on Pagure, there is a link to  How to be a successful contributor
There is a section about "Find a mentor or sponsor"

With Sumantro, I did a Kernel test on Kernel 5.12.6-300.fc34

I will go through that link you provided and have a go at testing, I will let you know if I have any questions!

Thanks again :-)

Hello,

I am not sure what you mean by a "sponsos" but if it means you have someone to ask questions, then you can ask me anytime.
Could you perhaps make clear what test process you have been lead through by sumantro?

Have you seen the test matrices for release validation tests? If not, this is a good start. If so, this is still a good start :)
For example, Desktop testing is always needed: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Fedora_35_Rawhide_20210615.n.1_Desktop?rd=Test_Results:Current_Desktop_Test

Let me know if you have any questions

Hi all,

I am looking for a mentor/sponsor to help and guide me to becoming a successful and regular contributor to the Fedora QA team.

I can contribute at least one hour per day to the Fedora Project but am unsure what to do at the moment.

Sumantro kindly walked me through a test process a few weeks ago and Ben Williams got me involved in some respin tests, but I haven't done anything since and am eager to do and learn more.

From reading the Introduction Guides, I think a mentor/sponsor would be a great benefit for me.

Regards & thanks,
Barry
