brtfs by default on F33

Over the past few days I have learned a little about btrfs. I have provided the links to the posts below: Magazine proposal: (1), Discussion: (2), Ticket 2429: (3)

I've done some testing on 0703 with btrfs and I am just getting started with 0713 with btrfs. I think the only way to really get confidence is to run Workstation with btrfs; So my plan is to run all the drops I can between now and Beta Release Readiness with btrfs. I won't be doing any rituals, but in these very short cycles I wouldn't expect to see any need for such things.

I wholeheartedly agree with cmurf. The need to perform rituals, or otherwise babysit an FS is an indication the something needs fixing and must be fixed rather than "papering" over the part that needs fixing.

No I'm not an ordinary user, but when I use my computers for the non-ordinary things I do, I am an ordinary user in the sense that the FS is not on my mind, and shouldn't be. The FS is one of those wonderfully crafted pieces of technology "under the hood" that helps make it work and I don't have to give it a second thought.

All that being said btrfs seems to be working great so far. I guess I won't really know about the babysitting part until after I've been running F33 WS for six months with btrfs.
