F29 Call for testing: X crash when moving windows

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi folks!

We have a proposed Beta blocker bug:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1616269

We are not sure whether to make it a blocker as we are not sure how
commonly it will affect people.

There actually seem to be a few different but similar bugs involved at
this point. It'd be great if folks could try the following operations:

1) Launch and then exit glxgears
2) Launch and then exit Chrome or Chromium
3) Launch Chrome or Chromium and then move its window around. If you
have more than one display, move its window between displays

and see if any of them causes a crash that looks something like the
backtraces in the bug. Try this both with the packages from current
stable F29, and with this xorg-x11-server scratch build:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=29516394

and report back here or to the bug report. Thanks a lot!
