interesting I just finished building samba. Looking at the built rpms I see the following

as you can see no python2-python
I installed all the python2 rpms as follows
[root@dc1 x86_64]# rpm -i python2*
error: Failed dependencies:
samba-debuginfo(x86-64) = 2:4.7.0-0.7.rc3.fc27 is needed by python2-samba-debuginfo-2:4.7.0-0.7.rc3.fc27.x86_64
[root@dc1 x86_64]# rpm -i python2* samba-debuginfo-4.7.0-0.7.rc3.fc27.x86_64.rpm
and now I can run
samba-tool domain provision --use-rfc2307 --interactive
again (I installed samba-tool using "dnf download samba-dc && rpm -i --nodeps samba-dc*")
I too like the bind_dlz method so I'll let you know how that goes, although I forget all I had to do for that. I have an Ubuntu 16.04 that I am doing that with. I use it to populate secondary dns servers (which are actually the ones the rest of my home lab uses)

What is the best place to discuss this great new feature (samba AD-DC)
of Fedora 27?
Thanks
