The last upgrade I did to my Rawhides (which I guess was 2017-01-17, but there is a difference between me trying an update and anything coming from the Fedora repo :-) Since then the boot sequence works fine but no GDM, instead just a bit on line noise character sequence at the end of the boot sequence on the screen. However the kernel has booted and is working fine, I can SSH in from another machine. So I can believe it is an Xwayland/GDM type thing – can it be GNOME Shell at this stage of the booting sequence? I haven't been able to investigate further than just this cursory thing, but I can tomorrow if that helps. -- Russel. ============================================================================= Dr Russel Winder t: +44 20 7585 2200 voip: sip:russel.winder@xxxxxxxxx 41 Buckmaster Road m: +44 7770 465 077 xmpp: russel@xxxxxxxxxxxxx London SW11 1EN, UK w: www.russel.org.uk skype: russel_winder
