in etc I can only find a file named fstab.empty, which is really empty.
There is a file /run/initramfs/rdsosreport.txt, I will look tomorrow how to prepare it as a mail-attachment.

We'd need more information (the journal, the contents of the installed system's fstab, at least) to figure out why. Installing to a USB stick is kind of a corner case, I'm not sure how many people test it.
