Is the "old" /boot/efi code also used in the new installation, or is only the partition size kept?

I did a couple of tests on UEFI and installed using both the workstation Live and the workstation netinstall iso's respectively and could delete the EFI system partition without problems....

If you're still hitting that issue file a bug report and attach the files in /var/log/anaconda/ as text files.
