Thanks for the reply.

Anyway, I've found that any XWayland app launched as root won't work with:
No protocol specified

and some other errors app-specific. Can you advise me where to report this issue? I don't think this should be reported to all apps that need root. I don't see xwayland package in bugzilla and wayland package is not the right one IMO.

I would probably report that against the app itself and then the
maintainer can move around the assignment as appropriate.
